Jan 27,  2010 - Presentation on CBE {Charged Board Event} and non-standard test issues" - Speaker was Terry Welsher who explained his presentation's philosophy, reviewed  ESD test procedures, provided a background of "Charged Board Events" (CBE), and explained how CBE is often mistaken for Electrical Over Stress.   He showed how CBE waveform is similar to the ESD Charged Device Model waveform, presented the CBE test results and damage, leading to the Industrial Standard/Best Practices status.  His presentation generated intriguing discussion among the attendees.

You will find technical papers emphasizing the latest research and technology; basic, intermediate, and advanced tutorials; exhibits of ESD control products and services; workshops; authors' corners; Program Manager Certification; Device/Design Certification; and more.

ESDA Recognition Dinner - In a Recognition Dinner to honor all ESD Association volunteers, each of the Committee heads or Business Unit Managers can present an award or recognition to someone that volunteers in their area.  This year our own David Swenson was honored by the Standards Committee and recieved the "Joel P. Weidendorf Memorial Award" for service to the Standards organization.  He later had the honor of presenting the Industry Pioneer Award to Phil Kohlhaas - 3M Retired.
